Using centuries-old processes and
drawing on the traditions of New England's Colonial silver smiths,
Peter Erickson produces quality handwrought sterling silver
flatware and jewelry. After a five year apprenticeship with
his grandfather, George Erickson, Peter assumed control of the daily
operation of the Erickson Silver Shop in 1977, and continued the
Erickson tradition began by George in 1932. Peter is the lone
remaining link to a century of sterling silver crafted in
Gardner. He is proud to carry on the city's rich history of hand wrought
sterling began in 1901 by Arthur J. Stone, widely
considered to be the Dean of American Silversmiths.
Peter thanks his grandfather George for passing on his knowledge
of more than sixty years as a master craftsman and for giving him
the love of silver smithing. Only the finest sterling, made
according to the traditions of our early silversmiths, bears the
exclusive trademark "Erickson Sterling".
